My agenda must come to school every day!
Christmas concert begins TONIGHT at 7:00pm. Students need to be in our CLASSROOM between 6:30-6:45. If students show up after 6:45 they are to meet us at the community hall and find our class. The show should run just over an hour. After the concert, students are allowed to leave with families. Please say goodbye to Ms. Weintz at the end of the night though, before you leave - so she knows everyone is safe! Tomorrow we are going to celebrate all of our hard work so far this year by watching a movie and playing games in class. Students can bring a treat to school if they would like, to enjoy while we watch a movie. If you are bringing treats, bring for the whole class (25). If you are bringing something with peanuts or gluten, please tell Ms. Weintz so she can ensure no one with allergies eats those treats.

Read 20+ minutes We are going to the book fair tomorrow! Tonight are parent interviews Practice Christmas concert songs (2)! Today was a BUSY day at school! We started a new holiday themed writing package project. We also continued work on our Winter Wonderland Multiplication projects. We are getting close to being finished! We also began a new ART project today with a focus on drawing and value (highlighting and shading). We can't wait to show all of this off tomorrow at parent/teacher conferences! After lunch, in science we also did our first EXPERIMENT in Chemistry! We made OOBLECK! Oobleck is an interesting "non-newtonian" fluid to explore because it is NEITHER a liquid nor a solid! This was super fun to play with! At the end of our day - each student in here received their Christmas gift from Ms. Weintz! Today each student was given 'the gift of reading', and received a scholastic coupon. We enjoyed some hot chocolate, candies, and browsed the catalogues choosing our new books! These books are for each student to keep as their own. Also: This is the NEW version of "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch". We will be performing to this (as it has kids voices as accompaniment). Report cards are coming home today.
Read 20+ minutes each day. Practice Christmas concerts songs! (You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch AND the French song) Today we began practicing our song for the Christmas concert (Dec. 19). We will be singing: "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch!" Each student has been given a script, and some students have speaking parts in between the stanza's. Students are encouraged to be practicing so that they feel comfortable and confident! Below are two versions of the song - one with singing, and one that is purely instrumental. A reminder also: Students can go into Ms. Milaneys GOOGLE CLASSROOM (French) to be practicing their FRENCH song for the Christmas concert!
Agenda:
I have an unfinished social studies project to work on. AMA: The season of giving! Challenge 1: The gift of words. AMA: my new math project Practice French Christmas song. Read 20+ minutes |
